FALL |

Fighting 'Senioritis' :: Keep your grades up and make sure schoolwork and studying are still priorities.
Countdown :: If you haven't already taken the SAT or ACT, make sure you take it during fall semester.
Don’t Miss It :: Most early admissions applications are due between October 1 and November 1, so be sure to have your transcripts sent before those deadlines.
Send It In :: If teachers or counselors need to submit any letters of recommendation along with your application, make sure they have the materials they need, along with a stamped, addressed envelope.
In the Running :: Complete personal statements and essays that will accompany your applications, and leave plenty of time for parents and counselors to review them and make suggestions.
On the Way :: When you've completed everything on your application checklist, it's time to press "submit" or drop it in the mail — and cross your fingers!
SPRING |

Think Green :: After the first of the calendar year, complete and submit your FAFSA application for financial aid. You should receive a Student Aid Report in about one month. Keep spring deadlines in mind.
Get Together :: Look for the College Goal Sunday event in your area during February — you'll find information and help filling out important financial paperwork including the FAFSA application.
Stay With It :: Now is not the time to let your grades slip, tempting as it may be. The end is in sight, but colleges still look at your senior year grades, too!
Decision Time :: You should expect to hear from the colleges you applied to by April 15.
Make the Call :: When you get acceptance letters, compare your options based on where you got in, your financial aid prospects and where your top personal choices rank.
SUMMER

In Case of Emergency :: Find out your options for student health insurance at your college in case your family's health insurance coverage isn't sufficient to cover you once you leave for school.
A New Chapter :: Don't miss out on any summer orientation programs for incoming freshmen — it's a great way to meet people and become familiar with the campus before the school year starts.
