Sign the dotted line.

Before you start tackling the paperwork with your son or daughter, take a minute to put your commitment to them in writing. Pledge to do your part — and share this promise with others who are helping.
A pledge like this will keep everybody motivated. If your son or daughter ever starts to second-guess their decision to go to college, take a minute and look at your signature and theirs. Remember why you signed this pledge — and remind your child that you’re there for them.
