Tuition and beyond.

Sure, tuition is the bulk of the cost for college — but there are other expenses to consider when planning your budget. There are books and meals to buy, and then there's your place. Will you live on campus or in town somewhere? Will you have a roommate or go it alone? All these decisions can have a big effect on your out-of-pocket costs.

Below you'll find a list of some other costs to keep in mind.  If you would like to search for tuition costs particular to a school, click here for a list of South Carolina's in-state schools.

GETTING AROUND (airfare for breaks and holidays, gas money, car repairs)
EVERYDAY LIVING (extra dorm furniture, junk food, school supplies, book fees)
PERSONAL EXPENSES (toiletries, clothes, laundry, medicine, insurance premiums, doctor visits)
KEEPING IN TOUCH (cell phone accounts, calling cards, personal internet access)
